HEEF Accepting Nominations for Board Members
The Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) is accepting nominations for individuals to serve on the HEEF Board. Dr. Matt Sakiestewa Gilbert, HEEF Nomination Committee Chairperson stated “We are looking for nominees who are dynamic and willing to act as ambassadors of the HEEF, actively participate on a Committees and contribute to the HEEF by sharing their time and resources.”

Request for Proposal for Investment Services
The Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) is accepting proposals from qualified and licensed investment firms to provide Investment Management Services. The HEEF is a non-profit, tribal government organization qualified under section 7871 (a) of the Internal Revenue Code, located on the Hopi reservation in northeastern Arizona.
Proposals will be evaluated on the following areas: qualifications of the firm, staff experience, investment services offered, depth of company resources, and fees. Preference will be given to firms who have proven investment management experience in working with other federally recognized tribes.
The proposal deadline is June 7, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. MST. For a complete detailed proposal packet and all RFP requirements please contact Ms. Oneita Tootsie, Office Manager at email@example.com or 928-734-2275.

2013 HEEF IMAGINE Grant Applications Available
The Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) is accepting proposals for funding from programs, which provide activities that support the goals of the HEEF. Complete proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. MST or postmarked by Friday, April 5, 2013.
Two grant writing workshops will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the HEEF office in Kykotsmovi Village to assist interested individuals in learning more about the HEEF IMAGINE Grant program and how to develop a proposal.

HEEF Awarded $20,000 from San Manuel Band of Mission Indians
Through their charitable giving program, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians recently awarded the Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) $20,000. Focused on areas of Education, Health, Economic Development and Special Projects, the award will enable the HEEF to support existing grants and scholarships for Hopi college students. Read More >>>

HEEF Welcomes New Members
On October 5, 2012, the Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) held their annual meeting at which they seated seven members to their Board. HEEF President Eileen Egan, herself a renewed member, addressed the Board and asked them to join her in welcoming new members Mike Finney, Darold Joseph, and Tim Evans along with renewed members Lois Reynosa, Kerry Green and Stephanie Parker.
