Oneita Tootsie, (Hopi) is Iswungwa (Coyote Clan) from the Village of Walpi, located on First Mesa.  Oneita studied at Arizona State University (ASU).  She began her career in Accounting as a Customer Service Representative at Ferrellgas, then moving to governmental service with the Hopi Tribe in 2000. 

In 2009 she began her work with the Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) as the Office Manager.  The HEEF takes great pride in her abilities as she has successfully completed each year’s Annual Audit as “unmodified”, the most favorable status an audit can be given.  Her duties at the HEEF not only include frontline service to donors and students, she is also responsible for the accounting aspect of the organization which includes the HEEF investment account valued at over $23 million.

Oneita is the mother of Ewell, Halli and Reyna. She is the proud grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren.
