About Arizona Gives Day

Since 2014, the Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) has been participating in Arizona Gives Day (AZGD)!

It is a day of celebration and generous online giving to non-profit organizations across the state of Arizona. This event helps raise awareness about the critical role Arizona non-profits play in our Arizona communities, including our Hopi non-profit organizations. It inspires others to give, creating a thriving and substantial support system for the education of Hopi people.

Eyes on the Prize

Arizona Gives Day offers extra cash prizes to nonprofits of different categories and sizes. Prizes are awarded to nonprofits for things like most money raised, most donations made, and most donations in a specific hour (aka "Power Hour").

This year we are encouraging our donors to join and give at 10:00 AM (MST) on April 2nd, in hopes of winning an extra cash prize! Following last year's Power Hour success, we will be creating a matching grant to help us reach our fundraising goal of $12,000.00 which would essentially help to create full-semester scholarships.

There are also randomly drawn prizes for organizations that meet certain donation criteria. HEEF is one of only a handful of nonprofits that provide services to the Hopi communities that are an integral and historical part of Arizona. To learn more about the prizes visit: https://www.azgives.org/prizes

Where to Donate

You can begin giving as early donations as Tuesday, March 12th, with the last day to give on April 2nd, through the Arizona Gives Day website. Please visit our webpage at www.azgives.org/hopieducationendowmentfund to give to the HEEF.

Apart from donating during a set time (10:00 AM MST on 2/2/24), you can also share the word and invite others to #InvestinUs by using the hashtag #AZGivesDay.

Please call our office (928-734-2275) or visit the Arizona Gives official website for additional information about this wonderful day of giving.
