We at the Hopi Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) are excited to announce the return of our largest annual fundraising event, the HEEF Silent Auction!
This year, the silent auction will be held online and will conclude at the Grand Finale in-person event on November 7, 2026, at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ. The online portion will begin on October 26 and will conclude on the day of the in-person event.
If you would like to donate artwork for the 2026 HEEF Silent Auction, please complete an art donation form, which you can access with the button below. We kindly request that any contributed and culturally appropriate art include the artist’s name, the artist's tribe (if applicable), the year made, and the value.

At the last silent auction we held in 2024, we showcased over 75 art pieces, helping us raise over $30,000 for educational opportunities. Hopi artists and Native artists demonstrate passion and creativity in their work. We are grateful, as their talents have helped us to make educational dreams come true.
Significance of the Hopi A’ya (Rattle)
Title Sponsor
The a’ya (rattle) design for the Title Sponsorship depicts those rattles that are given to young boys during the Powamuya (cleansing moon) ceremony by the Katsina Spirits. The design represents the journey of the Hopi ancestors and purity.
Premier Sponsor
The a’ya (rattle) design for the Premier Sponsorship depicts those rattle’s that are given to young boys during the Powamuya (cleansing moon) ceremony from the Katsina Spirits. The design represents the 4 directions of the earth, with the turkey feathers representing prayer for warmth.
Major Sponsor
The a’ya (rattle) design for the Major Sponsorship depicts rattles that are used during the Buffalo Dance. The design represents the winter stars and snow of the Hopi mesa, with the four points on the outer design representing the four directions.
Supporting Sponsor
The a’ya (rattle) design for the Supporter Sponsorship depicts those rattles that are given to newborn babies during the Powamuya (cleansing moon) ceremony by the Katsina Spirits. The design represents bird tracks, which signify baby birds leaving the nest for the first time.
